Even though this Indonesian island is located just a few kilometers away from Singapore by sea, it never fails to leave us amazed by its wild beauty, very affordable accommodation and food, and superb option for a short getaway. And of course, Trip.com has so many great options and deals for us to book our next vacation to Batam (; This time around we visited Batam as a group of 3 families with young children. We wanted to have some family fun and so we decided to explore Panbil Nature Reserve Park. It was really easy to get there either by Grab or Gojek. There are lots of family and children friendly activities available at the park including ATV, trekking with the deers, and some of the more kid friendly stuff like feeding the farm animals (see images). A short vacation to Batam, Indonesia. Indonesia is one of my favourite country to visit because of the food 🥘.This is my first time traveling to Batam Island and I just love it. Just to share some of my favorite places that I’ve visited in Batam Island. I have visited many cafes and restaurants during the trip. Just to share my favorite cafes and places in this post. My most favorite restaurant in Batam Island will be Rezeki Restaurant. They served variety of seafood. All the seafood were very fresh and delicious. I would recommend you to try my favourite Butterry Lobster ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was so good until we ordered two plates 🤣 Other dishes were slightly above average but all the seafood that we ordered was good! Overall the price was reasonable, we spent about $50/pax as we ordered quite a lot of seafood and we really enjoyed it. Rezeki Restaurant 📍Pantai, Jl. H. Moh. #weekendgetaways On my recent weekend trip to Batam, I got the opportunity and privilege to do cafe hopping with a group of good friends! We ended up at a quaint and really nice industrialist styled building with a cafe in it! It was Labers Coffee Pergudangan and the space was really nice! We ordered a loaded waffle to share. The waffle had fruits, a lotus biscoff biscuit and 2 scoops of delicious ice cream. It was delicious and the waffles was crispy on the outside. Amazing place and super friendly staff. She recommended us a few dishes that we tried and loved it. We could not stop ordering and she told us that the food that we ordered would be enough already, if we finished and wanted more then we can order again. Loved the fish and the crayfish. Toby’s Estate - Coffee Roasters Grand Batam Mall Jl. Pembangunan, Batu Selicin, Kec. Lubuk Baja, Kota Batam, Kepulauan Riau 29444, Indonesia The Grand Batam mall was just five minutes away from our hotel so we decided to pay the mall a visit. Upon reaching, this cafe attracted our attention which was right at the entrance. After walking around the mall, we decided to visit Toby’s Estate - Coffee Roasters. As we are still full, we decided to order drinks and cakes! We ordered three cakes and shared amongst six persons yet we couldn’t finish it because of the big servings and the taste is so rich. They had the best chocolate cake and if you visit here, it’s a must order! #newyearadventure

This spa is clean and hygienic, and has a very contemporary vibe mixed with some traditional design elements. Also easy to get to as located nearby the ferry terminal from Singapore. Massage prices were reasonable and the staff there were very nice. The only thing is be prepared for only curtains to divide the spaces between your massage bed and the next. This is one of Batam main Chinese/Buddhist Temple. This is a very peaceful place. There is a huge complex with three main halls for Buddha, Guang Kong and Guan Yin. There is a vegetarian restaurant as well too. Nice place for a break and a taste for vegan food. My mum is a vegetarian so no worried for her. And a shop that sells all the Buddha items, including beautiful clocks and souvenirs to buy and take home. Interesting place for our first travelling to Batam. We let out our inner model. Lol. And took lots of photos. I really love how the illusions really come alive. Like, I felt really dizzy on some of the slanted platform illusions. This is a great place to visit. You may pose in any way, and in what ever style you wish as if we are the part of the picture . This is our 1st travel to Batam. The hotel is very nice and recommended for a short stay for traveler in Batam. The location is strategic as it is nearby Batam Center and Bengkong. The room is clean and tidy . Overall, this is a 9 out of 10 place to stay in Batam. The buffet breakfast is excellent if you book with it included in your room price. 4 star hotel quality breakfast.Very good place to stay. Very convenient. #2023travelwish Kedai Kopi Jaya is located at Jl. Komp. Ps. Penuin, opposite Penuin Market, is a walking distance from Aston Gideon, I Hotel Baloi, and is around 5.5 kilometers 15 minutes drive from Harbourbay Ferry Terminal Batam. Most of the stalls open as early as 6am and close around afternoon. It is a local kopitham (eating house) with no aircon, sitting in the centre of the kopitham surrounded by delicious food stalls, like noodles tanjung batu, noodles tanjung pinang, chicken rice, fish soup, bak kut teh, and fried noodles. I had ordered noodles from both stalls, and fried kway teow. Most of the foods tastes delicious, with reasonable price. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

Located at the top floor of Grand Batam Shopping Centre, and nearby a number of hotels along Jalan Pembangunan, and is open daily from 1000-2200. It is a Halal Certified Restaurant, i had ordered a Tori-Katsu-Men (chicken cutlet mee), a Chicken Karaage and an iced ocha. Both the cutlet and karaage are crispy at the outer layer and juicy on the meat. The noodles are chewy with a tastey onsen egg, an iced ocha is also refillable. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

It is open daily from 1000-2200. This five storey shopping mall was opened in 2019, and was claimed to be the most luxurious and modern mall in Batam. The mall hosts hundreds of premium brands with reasonable prices, providing endless excitement. The famous CGV Cinema with satin sweet, making your movie experience more enjoyable. Facilities in the mall are also top-notch, with wheel-chair, baby stroller rental and prayer rooms are all available. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

#2023travelwish Bebek Goreng H. Slamet which had opened its branch at No.61 Jalan Bunga Raya, Baloi Indah, opposite the Batam City Square Mall. It is open daily from 1000-2100. Bebek Goreng H. Slamet is famous everywhere in Indonesia, their duck is fried to crisp with their special seasoning and the way they handle the food. They have a menu with the price indicated, but in Indonesian, so you need to use phone translation, if you cannot understand. Some of the staff know how to speak English. I had ordered a duck, chicken thighs, kangkung, and es chendol. Both the thighs are crispy in the outer layer, but juicy inside, you add some black sauce into the chilli, the foods will be pushed up to another level. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

#2023travelwish JC Supermarket is located at the ground floor of Batam City Square Mall Jalan Bunga Raya, 29444 Indonesia, and is open daily from 1000-2200. This magnificent supermarket is always crowded with visitors, locals and foreigners. They organize their products well, you can get groceries, cosmetics, housewares, spices, fruits and vegetables as well as meats. Some of the products are on sale during this festival, and most of them are at reasonable prices. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

#2023travelwish Batam Coty Square Mall is also known as BCS mall and is located at Jalan Bunga Raya, Baloi, Batam. It is situated within the busy Penuin area, close to BCC Hotel and Aston Gideon, around 15 minutes drive from Batam Center Ferry Terminal and is open daily from 1000-1000. BCS is made up of many smaller stalls and shops that offer you a huge choice in all the goods at reasonable prices. This six storey shopping mall has many things to offer, like girl and man accessories, IT and mobile phone products, salons, nails spa and many, a lot more for you to explore. After a day of shopping, there is no shortage of restaurants and cafes around there. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

There are different ferry companies serving this route, but most of the departure and arrival are from Harbourfront Ferry Terminal. Harbourfront to Batam Center via Majestic fast ferry, the price is around SGD 73 to and fro. The travelling time takes around 1 hr and 10 minutes. There are around 13 departures from Harbourfront to Batam Center. Both ferry terminals have restaurants, cafes and shops before or after the security passport control. There are a number of currency exchange and phone sim card counters at both terminals. Harbourfront Ferry Terminal can be reached by MRT, the nearest is Harbourfront MRT station. While at the Batam Center Ferry Terminal, there are taxi counters to bring you to the hotels or resorts. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.
