#2024TravelWish Lake Cave in Margaret River is an extremely pristine cave suitable for visitors of all ages. The cave is located directly below Cave Works. It is named for its fantastic crystal wonderland and was marvelously called "The Queen of the Earth" by Tim Connelly, who discovered it for the first time. When the soft light is turned on, the entire gem cave will become golden and its magnificent sight will amaze every visitor.

Visited mammoth cave with parents who are not able to climb stairs well. They were able to walk the first 2 levels and climb the first flight of stairs. Commentary provided through headsets helped. Available in English, Mandarin and other languages. The caves were spectacular especially for them who have never been into a cave before. The fact that we were able to explore the mammoth cave on our own without a guide was fantastic as my parents needed time to slowly walk around and descend from the stairs. #mammothcave #margaretriver

Head off to lake cave in the early morning to beat the afternoon sun and crowd. Listen attentively to the tour guide on the formation of the cave and some memorable names of the formations ie suspended table, emu and kangaroo. Further down of lake cave, prepared to be amazed by how tall the trees are grown in Boranup forest. Next, travel to Yallingup to see natural spa and canal rock broadwalk.

Day 1: Drive down from Perth. Stop by Bunbury, Busselton before reaching Margarets Beach Resort. - Had stopped by the farmer markets at Bunbury to get some fresh fruits. There is so much variety of different fruits sold by the local farmers. - Another stop at Busselton to have a lunch and wander around the area. The Besselton Jetty is not to be missed with a long jetty and a train to take if you want to enjoy the jetty. Day 2: Gnarabup Beach, White Elephant Cafe,Vasse Felix Winery, Margaret River Chocolate Factory - The white elephant cafe is just by the Gnanabup beach which serve excellent breakfast. It is always full of dinners since the morning and will close around 3pm - Many wineries in the Margaret River region and have chosen Vasse Felix. Had a distinct winery vibe and choose to pay A$10 for wine tasting to choose the drink you like. Do not forget the museum and vault within the winery. - Nearby is the Margaret River chocolate factory within a 10min drive. Another location to choose the award winning chocolate and view how chocolate is being manufactured. Day 3: Lake Cave, Augusta Beaches, Cape Leeuwin Water Wheel, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - Lake Cave is a must visit cave to see a limestone cave with a permanent lake inside. Cost around A$25 for an adult ticket to have a guided tour for around an hour. However the steps up and down the cave could be quite tiring. But wonderful scene within the cave which is worth the hike. - Both Cape Leeuwin Water Wheel and Lighthouse are nearby one another. Deeply underrated for its wonderful scenery. The views are just stupendous and you can feel you are just so close to the ocean, to the Nature. Both are on the extreme Southern end of the Western Australia. A Picture is worth a thousand words. Spectacular cave and worth a visit! Self-guided tour with audio headset which comes with the tix, user friendly, and very informative. After the cave tour, there’s a 160 steps staircase going up to the ground. After that, there’s two 15 min or 30 min bush walking trails to pick to get back to visitor center. Would recommend the 30-min trail which offers more interesting plant species and landscape along the way.
