Day Trip to Lucerne, Switzerland (feat. How to Get to Mt. Rigi)
Lucerne, a city, lake, and mountain, is a place that shows various charms of Switzerland! The most famous Chapel Bridge in Lucerne is the oldest ‘roofed wooden bridge’ in Europe over the Reuss River and is said to be the symbol of Lucerne. The Chapel Bridge is long, so it has different charms depending on the angle you look at it!
And when you go to Lucerne, most people also visit Mount Rigi. I’ll tell you how to get to Mount Rigi!
📍How to get to Mount Rigi from Lucerne Station:
Walk from Lucerne Station to the cruise ship dock, take a cruise ship to Vitznau, and then take the red VRB mountain railway to the top of Mount Rigi!
*The view on the left side of the red VRB is good*
📍How to return to Lucerne from Mount Rigi:
Take the VRB mountain railway down to Rigi Kaltbad,
From there, transfer to a small cable car to Weggis, and take a cruise ship to Lucerne.
If you climb Mount Rigi, which is called the 'Queen of the Mountains', you can see the snow-capped mountains along with the wide open view! There are chairs installed everywhere, so you can come and take your time and enjoy the scenery🏔
