I went to the rooftop bar "STRAIGHT UP" located on the top floor of "SEDA CENTRAL BLOCK CEBU" in IT Park 🌃✨ I was enchanted by the stylish space lit up in blue. From the outdoor seats, you can see the night view of Cebu city, and it has a great atmosphere! It's a bar inside the hotel, but you can use it even if you're not a guest! I stayed at Seda Central Bloc Cebu! The hotel is directly connected to a large shopping mall, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. The interior is clean, and the staff's courteous service provided a sense of security. The rooms have a modern and calming atmosphere. Equipped with amenities like a minibar and a safety box, I had a comfortable stay. Breakfast is served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of options from Filipino dishes to Western cuisine. There’s also an outdoor pool and gym, allowing you to enjoy a resort-like experience. I found this hotel to be a well-balanced choice, perfect for both business trips and family vacations. If I have the chance to visit Cebu again, I’d definitely stay here again.

Most people coming to Cebu overlook Cebu City to go explore the south of the island, either to swim with sardines/sharks or to enjoy majestic waterfalls. Even though, Cebu City doesn't offer the same kind of natural landscapes, it is a great place to learn about Philippines history. Just take a stroll near Plaza Independencia and you'll be able to admire Fort San Pedro, the oldest military structure in Cebu, a monument dedicated to the victims of Japanese occupation and another one to the victims of the martial law era of the 70s/80s. Walk a little further and you'll find Magellan's cross, the place where Magellan planted a Catholic cross when he first arrived in the Philippines in 1521. Next to it is Basílica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú, the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country.

I visited Cebu in May and chose the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. I was very satisfied! It's located on Cebu Veterans Drive, Nivel Hills, which is very convenient. There are many attractions and restaurants nearby. The hotel boasts an excellent location—peaceful yet close to the city center. Although it's on a hill, transportation is very convenient. It's only a 20-minute drive to the city center. If you don't have a car, don't worry, the hotel offers a free shuttle service to major shopping malls. Plus, the view from here is absolutely stunning, overlooking the entire city of Cebu! The hotel's decor leans towards modern luxury, and the facilities are comprehensive, including a swimming pool, bar, and gym. The receptionist was super friendly and spoke fluent English. To make our stay even more comfortable, she arranged a room on a higher floor for us. Thumbs up!👍 The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a large and very soft bed, perfect for those who love big beds like me. The bathroom was clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities. The room's large windows offered a direct view of Cebu City, especially beautiful at night, with the city lights twinkling below. It was super romantic. The room also had free Wi-Fi, which was very fast, perfect for streaming videos. The hotel breakfast was incredibly diverse!🤩 There were Chinese, Western, and Japanese options, including various delicious pastries and fresh fruits. I especially loved the hotel's pho, which was fresh and flavorful. The restaurant ambiance was also great, with a relaxed atmosphere. In the evening, you can go to the rooftop bar for a drink and enjoy the Cebu City night view. There are many attractions near the hotel. You can visit Fun Group Cebu for local activities, or check out the Macbeth Library and the Museo Sugbo. There's so much to do, a day doesn't seem enough. For those who love shopping, you can visit the nearby Ayala Center Cebu and shop till you drop. However, the hotel is a bit old, and some areas of the rooms and bathrooms could use some renovation. During peak season, the airport pick-up service can sometimes be delayed, so it's recommended to plan your time accordingly. The overall service was excellent, but the attitude of some staff members could be improved. That would make it perfect! Overall, the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is worth a visit. Despite a few minor drawbacks, its strengths outweigh its weaknesses. I look forward to coming back again!🌟
