#mymymemories I went back to my hometown to visit my family and also to vote in the recent state election. After we finished our voting, we decided to spend our afternoon at the new wing of Sunway Carnival Mall. I was delighted in seeing a modern mall in Butterworth! It definitely has the standard of a KL mall, it immediately felt like I was transported into KL! The new wing even has an autism friendly room, for austistic individual to seek tranquility. It is filled with calming elements and sensory tools. Definitely a first for a Penang mall, kudos to Sunway! We had our lunch at Hai Di Lao, and took a long stroll at the mall. There were lots of food options available at the basement, a big center court (with a massive Minecraft event happening at that time!) and tons of shops! We finally ended our day by redeeming coffee from Starbucks, under their "Show Your Finger!" promotion! It was a fruitful day for me and my family. Happy to be able to fulfill my duty as a Malaysian! This impromptu trip got me to try the Light Hotel in Perai, Penang. Since I book on the day itself, it cost me about RM300/room. The pool is huge and there are pool for kids and adults. They also have Fitness Studio and Kids Playroom that you can access. The breakfast is 9/10. They have so many food that you can choose such as sushi, fried kuey teow, mac and cheese and many more! This hotel provides a great poil as an amazing facility! It is very clean and the water temperatures are perfect. You can see the pool are less crowded in the morning. If you visit Penang, dont forget to visit Penang Bird Park. There a lots of bird we can see there. View is calm and beautiful. Price is reasonable & kids will love and excited looking at colourfull bird inside cage. We spend around 2 hours there. Definitely worth every penny!!

#2023travelwish This Char Kway Teow stall is truly a hidden gem in Seberang Perai. There was a signboard to go in the housing area. I ordered the basic one, so tasty. The shrimps and cockles were very fresh. Must add their sunny side egg with runny egg yolk. It added moisture to the fried kway teow. If you love cockles, you can try their luxurious version which costs from RM16.50 onwards. Their sugar cane drink is very refreshing. This place is usually crowded, so please be prepared to wait for the food to be served. Friendly owner and staff, especially the aunty serving the drinks. Next year I wish to travel to Norway to see the Northern Lights. Getting There - I was on a road trip from Kota Bharu to Penang. We stayed in Georgetown. Spent 3 days in the island and before went back home, we visited this Bird Park in Seberang Jaya and greeted those birds for 1-2 hours. The park is not that big, however there are numerous bird species that you could see here. My kid was so thrilled that we had the opportunity to feed the pigeons. Very famous HK style fast food chain, usually all their outlet are quite packed, no matter during lunch time or dinner time, but this outlet is quite spacious! The food was are nice. I love their spaghetti with tomato sauce a lot! Their Yuen Yong is quite nice too! Speed of serving ordered food are lighting fast here, great for work day lunch time. They located at the new wing now, quite easy to find, Just beside Jaya Grocer. They still provide physical menu but all order are done via QR code or you can ask help from the staffs too. We were greeted warmly by the bell boy from a distance he saw us carrying a large luggage, the bell boy came to us and helped lift the bag to the lobby the check in process was fast and efficient and even allowed us to check in early before the time the experience at the restaurant for breakfast was interesting. Variety of food served on breakfast and there is also "apom manis" which may not be available in other hotels The room is spacious and comfortable. Strategic location close to sunway carnival mall within walking distance. This is tucked away in the northern part of the island. A friend mentioned about it, and I was surprised by the crowd when I got there around noon on a Sunday - maybe the weekend crowd visiting the nearby Sungei Buloh Wetland & Kranji, and it was raining earlier. The rurual ambience is nice and relaxing, with the restaurant facing a large pool. Offers both western and local food. The food is tasty, presentation is nice too. I love the ceasar salad and the seafood platter. They also sell beer, quite a number of varieties. Price wise, reasonable with that kind of food standard and environment. Lorong Buangkok is the last surviving kampung on mainland Singapore. The “1954” on the street sign here does not refer to the year the kampung was founded, but rather, the old postal code of the area. While Singapore develops itself into an urban cosmopolitan city with skyscrapers, high-rise condominiums, apartments, the historic Kampong Lorong Buangkok still stands strong and remains untouched. They patiently answered all my questions and provided detailed information about the hotel's facilities and services, making me look forward to my stay. ## II. Room Experience I stayed in a Superior Room, which was designed with simple elegance and a warm and refined decor. The bed was soft and comfortable, with high-quality bedding, allowing me to drift off into a sweet dreamland all night long. The furniture in the room was neatly arranged, and amenities such as TV, air conditioning, and refrigerator were all available and well-maintained, making them very convenient to use. It's worth mentioning that the room cleaning was exceptional. Every day when I returned to my room, I was greeted by a clean and tidy environment, with bed linens changed promptly and no unpleasant odors in the bathroom. The attention to detail demonstrated the hotel's commitment to quality. The view from the window was excellent, offering beautiful cityscapes or tranquil garden views, adding a touch of comfort to my stay.
