Zaab is a fusion restaurant that hits your cravings for both Asian food and western food at once! Located in the heart of Canberra, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with neon signs and cool Asian graffiti. The food was truly unique! We had the duck confit with curry, eggplant, betel leaves, corn fritters and black pudding. All were very delicious, especially the appetisers and desserts. Definitely worth the money! I stayed in Braddon. i liked walking to Northbourne Ave to try many kinds of food and do some shops. The weather is great not too cold when I went there in September. I also enjoy walking to Haig Park. The area is more of a place to relax, picnic, exercise or walk the dog. Enjoy nature and fresh air. I have visited this cafe lot of times. They serve very tasty bagels along with vegan and vegetarian options. We visited recently on a Sunday morning , it was not that crowded. We ordered a cappuccino and latte macchiato along with two vegan bagels. Bagels tasted great. The service was very good, the coffee excellent and the cheesecake is highly recommended. The ambiance is really nice, we got served as soon as we had our table. They have a limited menu. I didn’t have to wait long for the food, however the portions did feel small. We ordered Turkish eggs, a cheese and tomato croissant, mud cake and two coffees. The Turkish eggs were good. Coffee not bad. Croissant was served warm but cheese not fully melted. The shop is quite small and bustling. Don’t know about weekdays but it sure was packed with on a weekend. Had the Bully Beef which was like a Reuben - bread is toasted to perfection, crunchy on the outside. Generous amounts of corned beef that pair amazingly with the cheese and pickles. My friend had a cheese toastie (I forget the name) but it was fully loaded with cheesy goodness and potato bites (maybe potato, not 100% sure). Regardless, also delicious.
