The rooms are beautiful with good views of the river. We stayed for our wedding celebrations and the hotel management had a lovely surprise of cold bubbly with a nice card on arrival. Yummy room service too, with 3 restaurants in the lobby to choose from. Only thing to note is it was a long wait to check in and room service was a bit on the slower side.overall is awesome

Pan Pacific Perth Hotel: Refurbished Room
#familytravel
A few months ago, I went to Perth and stayed at Pan Pacific Perth. This is my second stay there. I chose this hotel again because of its accessibility and location. Located at the city, you have access to the free CAT bus which is just a few minutes away from the hotel.
This time round I got their refurbished room. I love the added sofa and mirrors around the room. Of course I had a good view!
The hotel is perfect for families, solo travellers and anyone who visits Perth. Spacious space where you don’t have to worry about where to place your shopping items.

Perth mint ( Birth of gold bar 😋😋)
A visit is Perth is not complete without a trip to the Perth Mint
Located at 310 Hay Street, East Perth, Western Australia, Australia 🇦🇺.
This was a wonderful experience but I definitely recommend booking online. It’s very popular, therefore, spots can fill up fast. The tour itself was fascinating. Full of information about the history of Gold, the demonstration on how gold is made enhanced the tour greatly. I loved watching the gold bar being poured. The shop was interesting, you could go crazy if you had the money . The museum was full of great artifacts. I found it so fascinating. I loved that you get the $2 mint your own medallion with the tour ticket.
The Tour costs are -
Adult $25.00
Child (5-15 years) $15.00
Concession $22.00
The Perth Mint is Australia’s official bullion mint and owned wholly by the Government of Western Australia. It was established on 20th June 1899. Along with the Royal Australian Mint, the Perth Mint is the oldest of Australia’s two mints that is producing coins that are legal tender. The Perth Mint initially served two purposes, one to produce coins for circulation in Western Australia. Secondly, the mint bought the vast majority of the gold mined in Western Australia, which at the time was done mainly by “diggers” who had migrated to WA from other states and also from other countries.
Even though Western Australia took part in the Federation of the Australian Colonies in 1901, Perth Mint remained under the control of the UK government until 1st July 1970 when ownership was transferred to the government of Western Australia.
I would absolutely recommend visiting this fascinating piece of history. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

Striking Gold: Exploring Heritage and Sustainability at The Perth Mint
#earthdayjourney #perthmint #thingstodo #travel
My trip wouldn't have been complete without a visit to the Perth Mint. This historic mint, renowned for its gold refinery, was a fascinating step back in time. The guided tour gave me a closer look at the mint’s century-old legacy and its evolution in the precious metals industry. I was particularly impressed by their sustainability efforts, including their ethical sourcing of gold and commitment to environmental management. The Mint’s transparency in tracking gold from mine to market through blockchain technology was a prime example of how modern advancements can ensure ethical practices.
Definitely worth visiting in Perth

Nice parks in Perth!
Very nice parks you find in Perth for a walk and for relaxing.
Staying in East Perth at Crowne Plaza Perth for 3days 2night.
Though the hotel was decent and nothing of fancy, and was a bit expensive for close to A$450 a night (Premium 2 Double 1 single room), but the location was nice as it was close to the swan river. Nice scenery. Can consider taking leisure walk along the bank to the Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay. All within walking distance.
There are also closer hotels to the CBD which will greatly reduce the walking distance. I would consider some hotels closer to Murray Street or even Perth station if food, bars and shopping are the key focus. These locations are also near to the WA museum Boola Bardip and other cultural centre. Deserve a thumb up to Bolla Bardip, very amazing exhibits at low cost to public. Can literally spend a day to understand on the history.
Given more time, I would probably spend more days here as well.

The Perth Mint
The stunning heritage-listed building holds treasure including rare coins, exclusive jewellery and gold and silver nuggets.
The green doors of The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as the third Australian branch of Britain’s Royal Mint. Originally our purpose was to refine the gold discovered in Western Australia’s goldfields and turn it into bullion bars and sovereign coins for use throughout the British Empire and beyond. Over the next three decades we produced more than 106 million sovereigns and 735000 half sovereigns from Western Australian gold. Between 1940 and 1984, our minting skills were employed on large scale production of Australian circulating coins. In total, an impressive 438 million pennies, 256 million half-pennies and 1.3 million shillings, together with 855 million decimal 1 cent and 2 cent pieces was created on the coin presses. Discover the stories of Western Australia’s gold rush, the foundation of our heritage building, and witness a live gold pour in the original Melting House. By the time of The Perth Mint’s construction, income from gold was responsible for nearly 90 percent of the colony’s wealth. The Mint operated under British control until 1970, when ownership was transferred to the Western Australian Government.
