Located at 51° 28’ 38” north latitude and 0º 0’ 0” longitude, this city, known worldwide for its “Greenwich Mean Time”, was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1997 as the “River City of Greenwich”. The red ball at the tip of the Greenwich Observatory. This unusual, Kendama-like ball is a time-telling ball called the “Time Ball”, and is a famous feature of the observatory. Every day just before 1pm, this red ball rises up to the weather vane and falls exactly at 1pm Greenwich Mean Time. Cutty Sark, a British clipper ship which has been on display and a popular tourist attraction in Greenwich in London. Built in 1869, it was one of the last tea clippers to be built and also one of the fastest. You can visit this museum ship for £16 (adult), and it’s a minute walk away from Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich Station, along the London’s DLR line. #london #museum #darwintravel
