Grindelwald is a beautiful mountain village located in the canton of Bern, situated at an altitude of 1,034 meters. The train journey from Interlaken to Grindelwald offers breathtaking Alpine scenery. Grindelwald is a natural tourist destination surrounded by the majestic Alpine peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. This 5-day, 4-night trip to Switzerland was a dream come true for a snow lover like me. I specifically visited Grindelwald, located in the Jungfrau region. Here, you can take a cable car to First and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the way. Visiting in winter, you get to see even more stunning snowy landscapes. The cable car ride offers views of the mountain scenery, and although most of it is covered in snow, you can still spot some wooden villages on the ground. I highly recommend setting aside a day to explore this area. It's absolutely worth it!

When it comes to snow scenery, you must visit First in Switzerland, located at an altitude of 2,168 meters! This mountain is part of the Jungfrau region, and the scenery here is simply breathtaking. The white snow covering the mountains, combined with the natural landscape and colors, adds a special touch to this place. During my time at First, I made sure to buy a cup of Ovaltine and enjoy it while taking in the stunning mountain views, which was particularly delightful! One of the must-visit spots is the photo area with the Swiss flag, and there's also a viewing platform where you can take pictures with the First mountain in the background. I took a train from Interlaken to Grindelwald, and I used my Swiss travel pass for all kind transportations around Switzerland , but some mountains excursions cable cars are not included and they gave 50% discount. Then buy cable car ticket at the station ( if you have Swiss travel pass , half price that will be 34 CHF ) and if you want to do other adventures, you can buy additional package at vending machine. For me , I just went up to Grindelwald first to see mount Eager up close and hike surrounding until i come back . The scenery was jaw dropping and you will never want to leave the place . Mount First is undoubtedly the 'most fun' place in Grindelwald. Once you leave the town, you will find the cable car station at the foot of the mountain. After reaching the summit by cable car, you can enjoy a series of fun activities without any interruption all the way down. The First Cliff Walk by Tissot is an aerial walkway built at an altitude of 2171 meters along the mountain wall. Walking on it, you cross steep cliffs and rivers, and you can gaze at the Alps from different angles, overlooking the wonderful scenery of Switzerland. The mountain restaurant offers snacks and coffee; sit down and enjoy the view of the Eiger peak, which is incredibly beautiful. From the First viewpoint, it is a 50-minute hike to Lake Bachalpsee. The path is quite sunny, but the scenery is absolutely cinematic, and there are many cows.

This hotel... It really gave off a 'we're private!' vibe. It's very European, but it feels like you're on another planet. The jacuzzi was especially impressive. It's not that big, it's just big enough for three couples, but you can enjoy the jacuzzi while looking straight at the Grindelwald view... wow🏝 Oh, and there's a sauna, which is special! It's a nude sauna for both men and women. They asked if it was okay, and I thought, "Should I try it once?!?" but I wasn't confident🤣 The concerts below the hotel aren't a common sight every weekend, but it was a festival season! So I think it would be a good idea to check if there's a festival and make a reservation for Grindelwald. I was going to go out for dinner, but I ended up eating while listening to festival music and drinking a lot of food and beer I bought at COOP. 🏡Grindelwald is an important relay station for Swiss tourism. The train departing from here 🚞 goes to Jungfraujoch via Kleine Scheidegg 🏔️, making it a must-stop for most tourists. In order to make it easier to climb up in the morning, we stayed near the station. When we opened the window of the B&B, we could see the Eiger coming towards us. No matter how much money we spent, it was worth it❤️ 🏡This place like a fairy tale town is a warm green valley, backed by the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. It is full of peace, warmth and tranquility. The afternoon sun shines down, it’s too beautiful to be true, I don’t want to stop with my camera in hand📷 🏡We rode our bicycles for a walk and took pictures. Don’t be too happy when going downhill. On the way back, we ran out of energy and climbed uphill. I was so tired that I cried. Fortunately, we passed by a truck🚚 and gave us a lift. #thingstodo Beautiful cable car ride up the mountain. We went snowboarding at Grindelwald First. It was an incredible experience! I highly recommend checking out Grindelwald First, whether it is sightseeing or snow activities. You won't be disappointed This was such a cool experience!!! My husband is scared of heights but he was very brave and I don’t think he regrets doing it. It seems very safe and structurally sound, the bridge does sway as you go across it. The views are breathtaking here and if no one is around it is so quiet! I really enjoyed the experience and it ends up at the restaurant and the store which is cool, you can only go in one direction so if you want to do it again you can just loop around. They say the full loop takes about 20 mins and I think that’s about right. It doesn’t cost to do this when you get up to the first, so you can do it all you’d like! Amazing place to check out. You do need to spend about 85 swiss $ to get to the top but you can get there by hiking for free I think. Make sure you get tickets to the cart ride or any adventure ticket because they sell out fast and close early

#besttrip2023 In August, I flew from Kansai Airport to Vienna, Austria, via Taipei, and went to Geneva for three days of sightseeing. I stayed overnight and then took a train to my biggest destination, Grindelwald. Grindelwald itself is a small town, with mostly souvenir shops and restaurants. It's a base for sightseeing. On that day, I took a mountain train to Jungfraujoch. I reached the top around 3 o'clock, so it was empty, but as expected, there were a lot of clouds at that time and the view was not very visible. The next day, I took a ropeway from the city to go hiking in the morning. I chose the most common round trip course to the lake, but it was a little over an hour each way, and it was a bit tiring. But the weather was good and the view was great! The Eiger was also perfect. It will be a memory that will last a lifetime. Wear comfortable clothes, bring a drink, and go out in the morning. Prices are high in Switzerland no matter what you buy. Everyone pays with cards, even for cheap things.

Grindelwald is the outpost for climbing to the top of Jungfraujoch. The Eiger express is the latest means of transportation in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. The entire line is about 6.5 kilometers, starting from Grindelwald terminal to Grindelwald transfer station. Termian Station → Eigergletscher (loop), one way takes about 15 minutes. You only need to take two more stations of the mountaineering railway to reach the top of the mountain. Along the cable car, you can see the famous North Face of the Eiger from different angles and have a panoramic view of the beautiful Alpine peaks. Along the way, you can hear the sound of cow bells constantly. Watching the cows eating grass is so healing😏 Most tourists take the train from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg, and then transfer to the mountain railway to the highest Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. This week, I have been Switzerland to explore the stunning nature. I went to Grindelwald and Bern and Blausee. When I first look at Grindelwald, I can’t believe my eyes as the view was absolutely stunning and it impressed me a lot. After that, I went to Bern ‘s observation point to see the whole view of the city and admire different special building. Blausee is another fantastic nature as the lake is completely clear and the colour changed every single time when the weather is different ! #境外遊 #瑞士

#timetotravel Wonderful family owned hotel/chalet in Grindelwald that is 15 mins walk away from the Grindelwald train terminal. As we had travelled from big cities like Vienna, Munich and Zurich, Hotel Cabana is the perfect place of relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle. Staff at the reception are nice, while checking in for us, she gave us advice as to how we can get tickets to jungfrau etc. Hotel Cabana is a traditional-looking chalet, and it is very well-maintained and clean. We booked the room with garden access and it did not disappoint!! On our first day, it did not snow so we get to enjoy the greenery. However, on our first night, it started snowing so we had the opportunity to also witness the snow ❄️😍 I definitely recommend staying at Hotel Cabana when you are in Grindelwald. Summer time, one place which you can chill at and watch the sun set, admire the scenery, watch the iconic Swiss train pass by - when the weather is good - would be the Parliment building. It provides a good photo spot for humans, buildings, architecture, and also the area around Bern. Recommended to come for an hour around 2000. Getting There - using the Swiss travel pass, you get discounts for tickets. The gondola ride up Mount First offers a breathtaking view. Attractions - Hiking to Bachalpsee lake, Swiss bridge walk Hotels - Grindewald Airbnb Food & Restaurants - there’s a cafe on the top of mount first with a gorgeous view! Food in Switzerland isn’t cheap but their seafood in particular taste super fresh! Shopping - There isn’t any shopping at Mount First. however, Grindewald is where mount first is located & has several cute little shops to purchase your souvenirs from! and there’s the famous Laderach chocolates which is a whole lot more cheaper than the stores in SG! #mytripvlog #switzerland

Berne is such a wonderful place. Set in the heart of Switzerland, Bern is the gateway to the Alps. There are bears roaming freely around the city walls (in a safe environment). The people are nice, wonderful food and most of all, the beautiful architecture. It is one of Europe’s smallest capitals but punches above its weight when it comes to world-class galleries, unbeatable urban swimming and, of course, chocolates! For the best overview of Berne’s old town, climb up from the river to the Rosengarten. It has a restaurant, and its benches are popular in the colder months as it catches the sun. Please do visit when you have time!

Get here by train! We came via Basel and just enjoyed the scenic views from the huge train windows. Lake, villages, mountains, you won’t want to close your eyes! Coming here in early autumn, we escaped the crowds and could explore First, Eiger, and Jungfraujoch with ease and little wait time. The mountains are magnificent all thru the year! The colours of the landscape will change and hiking to the Balchapsee is an experience in itself. Discovering WCs in the middle of nowhere, up in the mountains, complete with toilet tissue is something only the Swiss can guarantee! There are many hotels in this little village and all are within walking distance of the train station. We stayed at the Eiger Aparthotel as we wanted to prepare our own meals to save cost. Bookings come with daily afternoon tea and the variety of cakes, teas and coffees were an absolute treat! There are many cafes around for fondue and all sorts of local delights. We opted to explore the two supermarkets for raw ingredients and cooked up our own dinners at a fraction of the cost of eating out. Do check out the different yogurt flavours, types of cheese, and cured meats too! As it is a tourist destination, you can get souvenirs and major brands here. There is a post office (to send postcards) and some banks if you need forex.
