DISCOVERING HA KHAU - CHINA | Spring trip "going abroad" for only over 500k. 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳
After 3 years of pursuing the "zero covid" policy, China has begun to open the door for people in Ha Khau to go to Lao Cai province.
Regarding this trip, in my opinion, "easy" is easy for those who have been there before, "difficult" is difficult for those who are new and have no experience.
So, today I share the article so that you can have more information for your upcoming trip if you are planning. 😊

1. Procedures and what to prepare?
- Passport (make the book 2-3 days in advance, not including Saturday and Sunday, can be done online)
- Citizen ID card/ID card.
- Make a medical declaration directly at the Chinese border gate according to the electronic board or declare via we c.ha.t. (This time, there are many people going, so remember to go early and come back early to avoid having to wait in line for too long)
- Bring about 150-200 yuan (~500 branches, exchange currency near the border gate for convenience)
- Pocket a few sentences of Chinese for counting, basic communication only. Or "shoot" straight into Vietnamese because a part of the Chinese people there also understand or many Vietnamese people can ask for help from each other. 😀

2. Brief introduction to Ha Khau
Places to eat and play: Light Park, Bac Son Square, Ha Khau Border Gate Forest Park, check-in point at Ha Khau Train Station, go to the supermarket,... eat grilled dishes, milk tea, candied fruit, sausages, steamed buns,...
------
3. How to travel, eat and play there:
I departed from Hanoi by sleeper bus straight to Lao Cai City and stayed 1 night near the border gate - The border gate is right next to it so it's extremely convenient to travel. Everyone just walks across the bridge and enters the country, then goes to the center and can walk, take a taxi or rent an electric motorbike.
So what to eat and play there?
📍 What to eat?
After entering the land of Hekou, look to the right and you will see the Food Street selling Vietnamese and Chinese food.
With snacks from both countries. Here, there are candied fruit, sausages, grilled food, Chinese fruit cakes and Vietnamese food are also sold here.
- Grilled food: When you go to Hekou, you must definitely try grilled food here and grilled food is sold everywhere during the day or night.
Don't miss a place in Hekou with Ong Troc Grilled Squid to enjoy grilled squid.
- Milk tea: Y.H Tang Milk Tea, 123 Milk Tea, InTea Milk Tea.
Everyone can come and enjoy it, I drank Y.H Tang Grilled Milk Tea and found it delicious and suitable, but I haven't tried the other two yet.
- Eating Hekou rice: There are popular rice shops, the locals also eat there, I have also tried them, but it depends on my taste. I don't have any comments for myself.
In addition, there are Hekou rolls and grilled tofu that everyone can try.
📍 Where to go, What to do?
* Hekou Station:
Right at the first Food Street I mentioned, go straight for a while and you will see Hekou Station. You can come here to take virtual photos.
* Hekou Forest Park:
People often talk about the Light Park, but right above the Park is the Hekou Border Gate Forest Park, there are a lot of trees up here.
