The scenery along the Mikuma River was particularly beautiful, with traditional houses lined up and small shops and cafes nestled in between, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. Walking along while watching the cruise boats gently floating on the river brought a sense of calm to my heart. Hita is also famous for its hot springs. Staying at a quiet ryokan and soaking in the baths was the ultimate healing experience. It was so delicious that we wanted to go back and eat it again. They gave us a lot of eel. We ate it to our hearts' content. The fried eel bones were also delicious. It was strange, but it was the first time we had it. There were 5 of us and we ordered 3 large sets. We were just full. If anyone goes to this area, I recommend this shop. It's really awesome. Mamedamachi is a town along the Kagetsu River in the northern part of Hita City, Oita Prefecture. It has been designated as a nationally designated important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings, and was certified as a Japanese Heritage site in 2015. Maruyama Castle was built in 1601 (Keicho 6), and the area around the castle was called Maruyama-cho. After 1616 (Genwa 2), the castle was renamed "Nagayama Castle". The castle town was then moved to its current location and called Mamedamachi. It's a nostalgic townscape that preserves the old Japan ^_^. Why not take a stroll around the fun townscape and find sake breweries, soy sauce specialty shops, and eel restaurants? The #Sapporo Beer Factory is also nearby.

📍Hita Hita is not that big, so it was nice to travel around every corner by bike! 2 hours is enough to see everything, and if you eat, 3 hours would be good too :) If you want to feel the Japanese countryside, definitely remember Hita! #JapanTravel

#AutumnTrip ⁣ While driving around Hita, I noticed a sign for Attack on Titan⁣ I went to see the statue of the protagonist as a boy at Oyama Dam👀⁣ ⁣ It seems to recreate the first time he encountered a Titan.
