Switzerland, my healing travel diary 🌿 Day 1: Waking up to snow-capped mountains outside the window I woke up in a log cabin in Grindelwald, with the morning light of the Alps shining on the Eiger. I stared blankly with my coffee in hand—so the scenes in fairy tales really do exist. 🚂 Day 2: Taking the train into a postcard The GoldenPass Line slowly climbed uphill. On the left was the unrealistically blue Lake Brienz, and on the right were cliffs with waterfalls. My camera ran out of battery. 🦢 Day 3: Losing track of time on Lake Lucerne While feeding the swans, a local grandma handed me a piece of chocolate and smiled in German, saying "Guten Tag." Suddenly, I felt that a language barrier could also be very heartwarming. 🧀 Day 4: The adventure of cheese fondue I plucked up the courage to try the sticky cheese fondue, paired with chilled white wine, and surprisingly tasted the sunshine of the Alpine pastures. ⛰️ Day 5: Hiking the Jungfrau In the cold wind at an altitude of 3,454m, I watched the sea of clouds rolling under my feet and suddenly understood why the Swiss always say, "Take your time, the scenery won't run away." ✨ Last day: Getting lost in the town of Spiez I turned a corner and encountered a garden full of roses. An old man in a straw hat was pruning grapevines. He winked: "Next time you come, I'll treat you to my homemade wine." The bus ride should took from 20-30 minutes depending on your location and covered by your Swiss Pass 😉 By ferry ⛴️ To ride the ferry which I featured in the video, you need to take Interregio Train to Lake Brienz from Interlaken Ost. And then take a boat going to direction of Interlaken Ost and get off at Iseltwald (See). Taking the boat will took you around 1 hour 3 mins on the fastest connection. The East Station is close to Lake Brienz and is the main starting point for tourism and transportation. This time we visited the East Station (Interlaken Ost). As soon as we got out of the station, we could feel the strong Swiss mountain town style. There are many shops and restaurants around the station. Whether you want to buy souvenirs, Swiss watches, outdoor products, or taste Swiss fondue and local cuisine, it is very convenient. The local handmade chocolate shop and traditional cakes are especially recommended, which are worth a try! It takes about 3 minutes to walk from the East Station to the cruise ship terminal (Brienz Schifffahrt) on the shore of Lake Brienz. You can take a cruise on the lake to enjoy the turquoise lake water and the reflection of the Alps, which is a picturesque view. The cruise passes through beautiful attractions such as the town of Brienz and the Giessbach Falls, which is a great way to experience the lakes and mountains of Switzerland. It feels more tranquil than Lake Thun, and the surrounding mountains are closer. There are several scenic towns and other attractions along the lake, so there seem to be more people taking cruises than Lake Thun. The cruise on Lake Brienz basically departs from the East Pier of Interlaken to Brienz, and then stops for 20 minutes before returning. You don't have to get off the boat, but the staff will check the ticket again. You can take it for free if you hold a Swiss Travel Pass/Day Pass.

Iseltwald is one of the more famous towns along the shores of Lake Brienz (Brienzersee). Due to a tight schedule this time, we only admired it from the boat without disembarking. Under the changing weather of sudden sunshine and rain, Iseltwald indeed exudes a fairy-tale charm.
