Traveling from Central Hokkaido to Hakodate, this two-day journey is all about exploring Hakodate! The large public bath includes a sauna, and the clean, comfortable rooms allowed for a relaxing evening with drinks. I’d love to stay here again! On the way back, I took a slight detour to Kaminokuni Town! From the roadside station Monju, descending "Kami no Michi" revealed breathtaking views! The emerald green sea was stunningly beautiful and truly rejuvenated my soul ❤️🔥

We love this rest stop. If you are diving along the west coastal from Esashi to Matsumae, you should stop by Kaminokuni-Monju rest stop. Not only you find great view, the stop break also have a restuarant, shop and toilet. Going down the flight of stairs, you will see a Torii gateway on the rocks, which we missed it. There is a window rock at Ohkannosaki, and the top of this hole is like a staircase, and it is called "Kami no Michi". A mysterious light rises from this "path of the gods" at night, and this is the so-called "dragon lantern". Getting There - coastal drive Attractions - great sea view and a Torri gate on the rocks. My third trip to Hakodate. I'd already been to the standard tourist spots in Hakodate, so I went to a shrine in search of a photogenic spot based in Hakodate. There's a torii gate on top of the mountain, and the view is spectacular!! You'll need to park your car and climb for about 5 minutes. It's about an hour and 40 minutes by car from Hakodate.
