We were on our way to visit the Yutoku Inari Shrine and had to find a place for a quick lunch - ended up finding this food gem nearby by chance! There were many people there (mostly locals) but the queue was constantly moving! To add, this place serves the best udon and seafood sashimi bowl we ever had by far! They are also super generous in their portions - if you order the Seafood Bukkake Don, you'll get soooo much sashimi that you'll have a taste of some sashimi in every single bite. So good that it's definitely worth a return visit. The only downside is that you might need to have a car, we drove there and it seems pretty secluded (or maybe because we went on a Monday and everything else seems to be closed.) #Spring0yenTrip The Ariake Sea was impressive for its unique landscape of tidal flats. When I visited, the tide was just going out, and I remember that even though it was supposed to be the sea, the land seemed to continue on forever. With the faint smell of the sea in the air, the boundary between the sky and the land seemed ambiguous, which made me feel a little strange. In some places, there were fishing boats parked alone in the tidal flats, which was also a picturesque scene. The Ariake Sea nori and mudskipper goods I saw at the roadside station were also interesting and local. It was a quiet but powerful sea.

#Spring0yentrip The vermilion shrine building of Yutoku Inari Shrine, jutting out from the mountainside, was very impressive. After passing through the gate and climbing the stairs leading to the main hall, the view gradually opened up, and I could see the town and rural scenery at the foot of the mountain. In the quiet air, the vibrant buildings stood out against the blue sky, and I couldn't help but stop and stare. There were many small shrines and torii gates scattered along the way, and the path to the inner sanctuary was fun and adventurous. It was a place that had a strange balance of the bustle of a tourist destination, but also a strong sense of sanctity, and it was a place that calmed my mind. The souvenir shops on the approach to the shrine and the famous inari sushi were also very local, and they left a lasting memory of my trip.

#Spring0yenTrip I visited Yutoku Inari Shrine in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, and was overwhelmed by its magnificent vermilion-painted shrine building and its appearance built on the slope of a mountain. This shrine, which is considered one of the three major Inari shrines in Japan, is known for its blessings of prosperous business and safety in the home, and attracts many worshippers. In particular, when I climbed the long stone steps leading to the main shrine, I was able to see the townscape and natural scenery spreading out below, and I felt as if my soul had been cleansed. There were souvenir shops and teahouses lined up along the approach to the shrine, and I was able to enjoy local specialties and sweets. Yutoku Inari Shrine is a beautiful place where history and nature come together in harmony, and it was a special and memorable experience.

There are cherry trees in the park that are said to be "5,000 trees at a glance", and when they are in full bloom, the magnificent scenery spreads out. In particular, the cherry blossom trees described as a "flower tunnel" made on the white wall road leading to the park are a masterpiece. The "Cherry Blossom Festival" is held during the flowering season from late March to early April every year, and many cherry blossom viewing visitors visit mainly in the prefecture. The lights at night are also beautiful.

The second day of my Saga trip was filled with the splendor of spring. Early in the morning, I departed from the bus stop at Takeo Station and took a dedicated bus to the much-anticipated Yutoku Inari Shrine. Upon arrival, a breathtaking spring scene unfolded before my eyes. The mountains were covered in blooming cherry blossoms, with vast expanses of pink resembling clouds cascading down to earth. As the wind blew, petals fluttered down like a romantic snowfall. Entering the Yutoku Inari Shrine, built into the mountainside, the ancient architecture was tightly embraced by a sea of pink flowers. Sunlight filtered through the branches, casting dappled shadows on the ground. The melodious chirping of birds and the lingering fragrance of flowers created a serene atmosphere. Every corner of the shrine was imbued with the essence of spring, and every moment was a sight not to be missed. In the afternoon, I passed through Shizuoka Park, where locals were holding a lively festival. The sounds of people, laughter, and music intertwined, adding to the joyous atmosphere of the spring day. Spending these two days in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowed me to fully immerse myself in the unique beauty of the season, which was truly a blessing. At night, I soaked in the rejuvenating waters of Ureshino's beautifying hot springs♨️. The water gently caressed my skin, washing away fatigue and leaving my skin smooth and delicate. A steaming hot tofu dinner followed, providing a comforting end to a perfect day. The various delights of Saga have left a deep impression on my heart.

Yutoku Inari Shrine is known as one of the three major Inari shrines in Japan. It deifies Uga-no-Mikoto and is a holy place where many businessmen and believers come to pray for prosperous business and good fortune. As soon as you step into the shrine, you will see the majestic vermilion main hall. The colorful building looks particularly spectacular against the backdrop of the blue sky and lush green mountains. Climbing up the stone steps, you can feel the atmosphere of traditional Japanese culture with every step. The surrounding red torii gates stretch upwards, which is somewhat similar to the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Kyoto, but there is less noise and more tranquility and peace here. Standing on the top of the shrine, you can overlook the entire Kashima City with a broad view, especially in autumn and winter, when the surrounding mountains and forests are dyed with layers of red leaves, the scenery is beautiful. In addition to worshipping and enjoying the scenery, there are also many special amulets and ema in the shrine. I specially bought an Inari fox-shaped amulet, hoping that it will bring good luck for the future. It is one of the 3 shrines called Yutoku Inari Shrine. I want to go there. I want to add it. Looking at the journey from Kumamoto to Nagasaki, it will pass through Saga anyway.
