The Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway is the only fully water-powered railway in the UK. Built in 1888, it remains the world's highest and steepest fully water-powered railway. The railway's Victorian-era style is preserved, making it a must-see for lovers of retro aesthetics!
During the journey, passengers can enjoy breathtaking coastal views and even interact with people on the bridge . The Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway is also pet-friendly, so you can bring your beloved dog 🐕 along for the ride.
⏰ The Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway is open daily, following a seasonal timetable. Opening hours may vary, so it's advisable to check the official website for accurate timings to avoid disappointment.
🎫 Ticket prices for the cliff railway vary for different passengers:
Children (4-15 years old): £2.2
Adults: £3.3
Dogs: £1
🌟 Every year on May 11th, we celebrate Cliff Railway Day, where visitors can enjoy a free ride on the cliff railway.

lynton and lynmouth
Lynton and Lynmouth is a civil parish in the North Devon district of Devon, England. The parish is named after its two main settlements of Lynton, which stands on a plateau above the Glen Lyn Gorge, and Lynmouth which lies at the foot of the gorge where the West Lyn River and East Lyn River converge and then meet the sea. The two are connected by the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, a water-powered funicular railway.
Many people visit the North Devon twin resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth and their famous funicular railway.
A lesser known spot in the area is a walk along the national trust trail, traversing the Glen Lyn gorge. The trail itself is well maintained and can be tackled by most walkers.
Following the river along its journey towards the coast, you will come across dramatic waterfalls and towering gorges along your route.

I arranged
I arranged for Uyuni to wait for 5 days for the best weather of the sky mirror. It was really a poor life to report a three-day, two-night tour. The tour guide and driver were locals, only speak Spanish and very limited. In English, we started this Spanish group with a guess. After passing the train cemetery and the Uyuni salt flats, you will pass through the cactus island. By the way, you can see the salt hotel for a long time. However, it is too lazy to be photographed. It should be called The Valley of Rocks. Although it is an attraction, there is actually no original ecological driving. There is no place to replenish it all the way.
