Obviously these are subject to availability but we had no issues securing a place after breakfast. Word of advice, do try to go early and secure your sunbeds as the prime spaces tend to get reserved early on by other guests.

We booked our stay with breakfast only but the hotel offers breakfast and lunch packages as well as an a la carte menu. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast only and really enjoyed the food. If you prefer a breakfast with a view, then definitely have this outside at the Malibu Terrace. Meters away from the beach, you can enjoy a superb view of the sea. Needless to say that this is what we did as well.

Scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, great variety of cold meats and different cheese, vegetables etc. all looked and tasted good. Yoghurts, muesli, cereals were offered as standard. There was a great selection of fruits, fresh watermelon, pastries and delicious sweet treats which we enjoyed very much and sampled with pleasure.

We had a very positive check-in experience as well. We arrived at the hotel before the check-in time. Although we were secretly hoping to get an early check in, we were dressed in a “beach-ready” attire and were ready to leave our luggage in the luggage room and head to the beach, should the room not be ready.

We stood at Hotel Malibu in Mamaia and decided to share our experience of this beautiful hotel. Great location on the beach, excellent service, wide sandy beach, amazing views towards the sea and/or Tabacarie Lake, comfortable room equipped with all you need and much more.

#bucketlistreboot Ride a Bike on the Promenade Another exciting thing you can do is go for a bike ride on the main promenade. The promenade also offers a dedicated bike lane with most pedestrians being aware of it (most times). Our hotel Malibu offered free bikes and we took the opportunity to ride all the way to North Mamaia to one of the cocktail bars and then head back. We did have to switch to the main Mamaia Boulevard closer to the north side of Mamaia as the bike lane and pedestrian paths finished but not for long. The ride was excellent and ample space for you to manoeuvre. It did feel a little bit tight in the Casino area but overall nothing to complain. #romania #mamaia
