Brunei Darussalam 'The Abode of Peace' 🇧🇳 Introducing the three places we visited this time: 'Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque' (commonly known as the New Mosque 🕌) 'Istana Nurul Iman' (the palace where the king resides 👑) 'Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque' (commonly known as the Old Mosque 🕌) They say there's hardly any tax?! Blessed with natural resources like oil and natural gas, it's also known as a wealthy country!!! The atmosphere of the city during the day and at night is quite different, and it's a country where you can spend a leisurely time forgetting about the time.

#cafestory This is a nice cafe. They have a sister branch called Alter Ego in Kiulap. Cozy and quiet place, perfect for breakfast on weekdays. The menu was quite appetite zing with some brunch options, sandwiches and deserts. I just had a fantastic meal with my friends this morning. The Cajun Chicken Pumpkin Waffles from the Brunch Set was flavourful and quality ingredients were used. I will be returning with my family very soon. Highly recommended!

First thing you will be surprised is in fact they almost have NO public transport in the city. Everyone has their own cat to o around the city. This one that makes me frustrated as a tourist 😆 what a thrill hahaha Secondly, you can absolutely use Singapore Dollars as well for any transaction in the country as they have signed a memorandum for both country to use SGD currency in the country that is legal. #hiddengems Good quality Japanese restaurant which has better than average quality ingredients. The environment was well lit, spacious and overall very pleasant. Service was good and this is also an establishment that uses QR code menus. We tried their set lunches and they were yummy.Excellent service, reasonably priced, perfectly located at Batu Bersurat.

The food selection is not too bad – you have choices of western and Asian dishes. Lovely ambience, love their lunch set! Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is a mosque in Kampong Kiarong of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It is named after Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th and current Sultan of Brunei. It is one of the two state mosques, the other Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque was established on 14 July 1994 and it is the largest mosque in the country and can accommodate 5,000 worshippers at a time. #myfoodies Mr Baker’s Bakeshop offers a more western style menu. All the food we ordered was delicious and presented nicely. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere with good jazzy/ swing music, mediocre interior and good seating arrangement. Delicious breakfast of ham with cheese, scrabble egg, croissant and salad. I like their side dishes, which serve fresh and can be refilled. Gimbab, the Korean rice roll is one of the top dish that I like. Moreover, their dumpling soup with original soup also very delicious. The drink that I like the most is the Sik Hye. Their service is good and the environment is cozy and comfortable for friends and family gathering. My favorite breakfast places in town is Yang Seng Restaurant & Catering as one of the best roast duck and pork belly in town. The roasted pork belly is good with crispy and crunchy pork skin. You need to go early morning for their popular roasted duck kolo mee or rice because usually run out before early noon. Their "yee-wat" soup or "handmade fish cake soup" is one of their signature dish. It’s worth to try it. I highly recommended this restaurant. We always enjoy their delicious desserts, mains and drinks. The food is wholesome, good sized meals and yummy. Their Mango Cheesecake is one of the best in town. 📍Brunei Gadong Night Market is the largest and most famous night market in Brunei. What kind of atmosphere is it? What kind of food is it? We will introduce you to them. [Access] It is conveniently located about 10 minutes by car from the city center, and can be accessed on foot from the Gadong area where there are many hotels. [Opening hours] The shops start opening around 4pm and are sold out around 9pm, so it is very lively with not only tourists but also locals. [Menu] Nasi goreng, kebab, grilled fish, chicken, fruit juice, etc. [+Experience] Night markets in Southeast Asia are not familiar in Japan, so I was worried about hygiene and seasoning, but the fact that most of the food was stir-fried was a relief. As I walked into the covered area, a wave of smoky, savory aromas hit me—grilled satay, sizzling noodles, and fragrant rice. #0yentravel Brunei Darussalam is a small kingdom with a direct flight from Tokyo. The largest night market in the country is here, Gadong Night Market. It is quite large and you will never get bored. There are a wide variety of gourmet foods and fruits that are not often seen in Japan, and it is a place where you can feel Southeast Asia. There are many local people, and some people were eating with their families, and some people were buying ingredients for home.
