Geographical Location The Six Senses Krabey Island resort is located on a private island of 30 acres in the south of Cambodia, three miles outside the Ream National Park. To reach the island, it's a 10-minute drive from Sihanouk International Airport to the hotel reception, followed by a speedboat ride. The waters here are crystal clear, with fine pure white sand beaches and coconut groves swaying gently in the wind, on this peaceful and untroubled island. Accommodation On the 12-hectare Krabey Island, Six Senses has built only 40 independent villas, and unlike other island resorts, there are no overwater bungalows here. This is because the foundations of overwater bungalows can damage the coral reefs, which goes against the eco-friendly philosophy that Six Senses has always upheld. Therefore, these villas are hidden among the trees, connected by wooden walkways, preserving the original natural environment to the greatest extent. Dining The combination of two specialty restaurants and a sunset bar is enough to soothe any discerning palate during an island holiday. The AHA Restaurant is a relaxed and casual dining space with pond water features and ocean views. As an all-day dining restaurant, it offers exquisite cuisine from around the world. The Tree Restaurant serves local Khmer cuisine and selected Southeast Asian dishes, featuring a variety of seafood. Many of the organic vegetables in the restaurant are supplied by Six Senses' private organic garden on the island, fully embodying the popular farm-to-table dining concept.

If you are looking for a calm and beautiful architectural resort to stay, Koh Russey Resort on Bamboo island, Sihanoukville is the one. It has the greatest architectural design. Very clean and very delicious foods (especially bread in the morning). Best month to visit: Nov - Apr (the driest month) and also the peak season month. For more affordable stay, consider staying during the shoulder month between the rainy and dry season, around end of Oct or early May when the room rate is cheaper. Location: Bamboo island, 15 min speedboat ride from the resort's private port (in Ream). Price: We spent USD 250-USD300/night for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). Kids below 5 years old is normally free. The price includes breakfast and shared round-trip speedboat transfer (only used by resort's customers). I stumbled upon this hidden spot and was blown away by the incredible flavors served up by a talented young Malaysian chef, Chef Ken. Even though I had already eaten dinner, I couldn’t resist trying two dishes – and I’m glad I did. Every bite was packed with bold, unique flavors that stood out from the usual seafood fare in Sihanoukville. I polished off both dishes despite being full – that's how delicious it was! Very lovely resort in Ream National Park. We stayed in the Dome Sea View and it was amazing. Staff is good and kind, pool, room and resort very clean. We enjoyed the nice beach around, also perfect spot to visit Prince Island and go kayaking in the mangroves. The restaurant serves mainly khmer food but you can get more western cuisine if asked in advance (the best you request it at booking time, mainly for the breakfast). They have very fresh and tasty seafood. I definitely recommend this place for a nice weekend away from Phnom Penh
