We could choose from five types, including fruit tart and matcha cake. There were about two cups of tea in the pot, but they will add more hot water if you request it. From the window seats you can see the dry landscape garden. The meal started with young sweetfish and rape blossoms dressed in vinegar and miso, then we had grilled sea bream, boiled shrimp potatoes, sashimi, soup, inari sushi, and soba noodles with sweet bean paste, all presented in a gorgeous and colorful arrangement with celebratory ingredients. So, I’m not a big theme-park person, but decided to pay a visit to Huis Ten Bosch as I had an extra day in Nagasaki. On top of the rides (more for kids than adults), there are interesting museums and the grounds are well kept and nice. The day I visited, a Banksy exhibit was going on it was quite nice. If you have kids, that’s definitely a must-go place if you are in Nagasaki. It’s a good idea to rent a bicycle to move around as the place is huge.

This hotel is located right at the entrance gate of Huis Ten Bosch. There is a private passage, and if you get a stamp, you can enter and exit as many times as you like. It's really appreciated that it's so close to Huis Ten Bosch. I stayed there in December, so the illuminations were very beautiful. Huis Ten Bosch is beautiful, but the hotel is also integrated into it. There were many middle and high school students on school trips, and they were all very well-mannered. There were also high school students staying at the hotel, but there was nothing particularly unpleasant about it. I was very grateful that there was a large public bath and towels provided.
