Seydisfjordur, Iceland
Seydisfjörður is a small town in the deepest part of the fjord of the same name in East Iceland. The town is known for its old wooden buildings and the urban street configuration that is still preserved in its urban structure. There are campgrounds, facilities for campers, hotels, swimming pools, libraries, hospitals, post offices, liquor stores and other retail activities.
Seydisfjörður also has a vibrant cultural scene, including an art center, the East Iceland Technical Museum and the only two cinemas in East Iceland, while the Blue Church, which is beautiful both inside and out, is definitely the highlight.
There are several waterfalls in the town. A popular hiking trail starts in the center of town and follows the eastern bank of the Fajardara River, which flows through the center of town, and then goes up to a total of 25 waterfalls. #Iceland #Fjords #Nordic Tours #Explore European Towns #Church #Blue Church
