Spent a few days in Niigata City and stayed at Tsukioka Onsen Mashu. The service staff made me feel right at home, and the meals were a highlight on their own. The castle is absolutely beautiful, especially during cherry blossom season in spring and when the leaves turn colors in fall. You can tour the inside for free, and the greeting staff are always friendly and helpful.The workers also will give you a very informative tour of the castle grounds.

The hotel staff were very kind and provided pleasant service from check-in to check-out. The rooms were clean and spacious, and I was able to get a comfortable sleep. In particular, the hot spring was the best. Shiratama no Yu was the perfect place to relax, with an open-air bath with a beautiful view and a spacious indoor bath. Dinner was also excellent, and the dishes made with local ingredients were sumptuous and delicious. The breakfast was also substantial, with a wide variety of menu items. The hotel was surrounded by nature, and there were activities such as walks and hiking to enjoy. Overall, Shiratama no Yu Kahou is a recommended inn that provides a relaxing and wonderful accommodation experience. I would definitely like to use it again next time. ✨
