2025 Staveley-in-Cartmel Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)

Stayed in one of the 4 garden cabins. Each are angled in such a way that they are all private. Each has its own hot tub and log burner. The cabin was cosy at night and well maintained. The cabin has WiFi, a tv, tea/coffee station, sofa and ensuite. Towels are provided for the bathroom plus separate towels, a robe and slippers for the hot tub. Breakfast was buffet but included hot self-service english breakfast items. I have to give credit to the person on reception when I checked in who greeted me with a smile and was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

At the southernmost point of England’s largest lake, Windermere you will find yourself in the charming village of Newby Bridge. The bridge of course is a highlight here crossing one of the lakes outflows and the nearby swan hotel and spa is worth a stop off even if it’s just for a drink or a snack. After playing water activities near Fell Foot in the Lake District of England, we saw an ice cream shop with a log cabin design. We had to order some because we both love ice cream. We ordered the salted caramel flavor. In addition to individual scoops of ice cream, they also sold pre-packaged ice cream!
