First stop was Malta, and let me tell you, Valletta is like stepping into a postcard. The architecture is incredible, and St. John’s Co-Cathedral is a must-see. We spent the day wandering the narrow streets, soaking in the history. The entrance fee for the cathedral was around €15, but it’s worth every cent for the intricate interiors alone. Plus, the harbor views are just breathtaking. 🌅 Next up was Cyprus, where we docked in Limassol. From there, we took a short trip to the ancient city of Kourion. The ruins, especially the amphitheater overlooking the sea, were absolutely stunning. Parliament House and Courts of Justice in the capital of Malta are two important buildings, because they represent the legislative and judiciary branches of the nation. The former is the meeting place of the Parliament of Malta and this new building constructed between 2011 and 2015 is controversial because of the modern design and the high cost. Many have compared the cladding design to a cheese grater or a dovecote. I certainly do think it looks unique though. The Courts of Justice building does not look extraordinarily special as it is built in the neoclassical style in late 1960s.
