| Architectural Art and Treasures Exhibition. 🌈 Highlights: The origin of the Louvre Abu Dhabi can be traced back to March 2007. The UAE and France established an unprecedented cultural exchange partnership, the most notable of which was the establishment of the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island. It represents the vitality of the contemporary Arab world and is a new cultural beacon that brings together different cultures and sheds new light on the common story of humanity. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is surrounded by water on all sides, and visitors can reach it by land or sea. Like walking through the narrow streets of the Arab Mediterranean, visitors can explore 55 buildings, 23 of which are galleries. Their architectural inspiration comes from the low-rise houses in the region. The architectural center of the museum is a huge silver dome that seems to float above the museum. Weighing about 7,500 tons (similar to the Eiffel Tower in Paris), the dome is a complex geometric structure made up of 7,850 stars, which are repeated in eight different layers in different sizes and angles. As the sun passes overhead, its light passes through the perforations in the dome, creating a fascinating effect inside the museum, known as the "rain of light." This tribute to nature is inspired by the palm trees of Abu Dhabi. Their leaves filter and soften the bright sunlight from above, casting dappled patterns on the ground. Along the outdoor walkways, visitors can take a moment to reflect and discuss the artwork, or enjoy the ever-changing relationship between the sun, sea, art, and architecture. 🎟️ Ticket information: Adults over 18: AED 65 Free admission for those under 18, UAE military personnel, and UAE residents over 60. 🕐️ Opening hours: Closed on Mondays Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm Friday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm The museum café closes at 8:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 pm on weekends (Friday to Sunday).
