Herrera-style gloom

The altar of St. Nicholas in Bari is also in the Baroque style and is located in the apse of the central church. The cathedral's exterior is somber, yet incredibly grand. The historic district in which it is located contributes to this. Inside the cloister there is a series of important 18th-century grilles, built in the mid-17th century.
