Secluded Escape｜Avoiding the Crowds

The Dragon Boat Festival holiday is approaching. The plan was to focus on vacation 🏖️ while also checking off the long-awaited Skyline Flyer 🚗 at Cloud Grassland, so we chose Anji as our destination. 🚘 Itinerary: - May 30th: Depart in the afternoon to avoid peak traffic. - May 31st: Visit Panda Tribe and experience the Skyline Flyer. - June 1st: Relax and enjoy hotel amenities. 🏨 Hotel Choice: **SEE U Lakeside Designer Homestay (Anji Cloud Grassland Resort Branch)** The homestay has a lovely ambiance with cozy decor and well-equipped public entertainment areas. The rooms are spotless and feature IMAX projectors, HCK refrigerators, and pressure-relieving bedding—clearly high-quality! Perfect for snapping beautiful photos right in the room. Just an 8-minute walk to 🐼 Panda Tribe, with convenient parking and EV charging stations available. ————————————————— ✔️ On the 30th, we took half a day off to leave early 🚥. The drive from Nanjing to Anji took about 2.5 hours, smooth all the way, arriving before sunset at the homestay for our first night. Nestled against the mountains with stunning lake views nearby, we unpacked 🧳 and walked out for 🍲 hot pot—mediocre taste, not highly recommended. After dinner, we strolled back to the hotel. The village wasn’t too crowded but still lively. Back at the hotel 🏨, we watched a movie 🎬 and rested. The bedding was so comfortable we slept soundly, recharging for an early start the next day. ✔️ Woke up at 6:30 AM on the 31st, freshened up, had breakfast, and arrived at Panda Tribe right at opening time. We were among the first to enter as staff were still prepping. Headed straight to the mountain cable car queue—with fewer crowds early on, the ascent took about 14 minutes. The mountaintop area was small with limited attractions, so after trying one ride, we headed for the Skyline Flyer. The flyer was a blast—justifying the ticket price, haha. ✔️ After descending, we rested briefly in the park before driving to Anji County for lunch. Picked **Anjilao**, a local favorite with high ratings—😋 the dishes were delicious, especially the tender bamboo shoots, perfect for someone with sensitive teeth. ✔️ The next 2️⃣ days were spent unwinding at the homestay: sipping coffee in the garden, visiting the Tea Museum, playing pool in the common area—a serene holiday away from the crowds. Isn’t that the ultimate luxury?
