Türkiye's 33rd stop, Antalya Hadrian's Gate

🌈Attractions: Hadrian's Gate is located in the old town of Antalya, Türkiye. It is one of the main entrances to the ancient city of Kaleiçi. The structure of the city walls and archways is full of historical charm, and its shape is a triumphal arch from the Roman era. In 130 AD, the Roman Emperor Hadrian ordered its construction to commemorate his visit to Antalya, nearly two thousand years ago. It not only witnessed the evolution of Antalya from ancient times to modern times, but is also the best-preserved Roman building in the entire city. The Hadrian's Gate has a unique architectural style, consisting of three arches, a tower on each side, four Corinthian columns in front of the gate, and exquisite carvings on the door. History has not erased those exquisite carvings. There are many holes for pigeons to roost on the ancient city walls.
