Typical Andalusian village

Andalucia Tour ~ Huelva (Region) Aracena is located in the northern part of the Huelva province, within the Sierra de Aracena and Pico de Aroche mountain ranges. Architecturally this is a typical Andalusian village, with white houses contrasting against the green landscape of the mountains. Its town center (an official cultural property) and the Gruta de las Maravillas caves are its main tourist attractions. The Gruta de las Maravillas (Grotto of the Maravillas) is one of the largest caves in Spain and is very beautiful inside. It includes twelve underground chambers, six lakes, and countless stalactites and stalagmites. Aracena's architectural heritage is known for its fortifications, such as its castle, and the Church of Our Lady of Dolo Mayor.
