Weather in Greece during June

From June 2nd to June 4th, I stayed in Athens, Greece as a stopover. If you wish to visit the Acropolis, it’s recommended to book 1-2 weeks in advance to secure a morning time slot (8-9 AM) when it’s not too hot. I tried to book the day before but there were no slots available, so I ended up booking for 4-5 PM, thinking it would be fine. Unfortunately, I got completely sunburned under the Mediterranean sun. I highly recommend using a parasol from Daiso or purchasing sunscreen lotion sold in Athens and applying it throughout your trip. Sunglasses are a must. Every restaurant sells Greek salad, and since Greece is a country known for its delicious olive oil, the salads are quite tasty. The price is approximately 7-8 euros. Greece is full of flowers everywhere, making it a great place for photography. I also recommend exploring the neighborhood near your accommodation. 🥹 (Restaurant Recommendation) Lolos Geor. Olimpiou 5, Athina 117 41, Greece I visited this place on the first day as it was near my accommodation, but there was a long wait with many locals. I went back the next day and suspect it’s a local favorite. - Greek Salad - Fried Calamari - Shrimp Risotto The Greek salad here felt like it lacked olive oil, but it seems they provide more if you ask. The fried calamari was made with small squid, which wasn’t as thick as regular squid. While it wasn’t bad, my expectations were high, so I was slightly disappointed. Make sure to squeeze lemon on it. The best dish among the three was the risotto. The shrimp flavor was rich and savory, likely from boiling the shrimp to extract its umami. Eating it with the shrimp makes it disappear quickly. Highly recommended! 👍🏻 (On Google reviews, many Koreans seem to enjoy the fish dishes here. The staff are friendly, but cigarette smoke is a default part of the atmosphere.)
