Forest walk Chelsea Estate Heritage Park

Near the famous sugar factory on the North Shore of Auckland, there is a Chelsea Estate Heritage Forest Park. The park is full of ancient trees with wide crowns, and the gravel path is full of fallen leaves. Some big trees are knocked down and lie on the side. Along the trail, there are lakes, hills, various trees and wildflowers, and you can see the distant mountains and the horizon. There is a map at the entrance of the park, indicating the length of each trail and the time required for walking. Special reminder, for safety, no walking after drinking. There is a junction with a fence and shoe cleaning facilities, informing that in order to protect the Kauri tree species (Maori call it Kauri), please clean dirty boots. This kind of Kauri is up to forty or fifty meters high, with a majestic crown, usually there are one or two meters thick fallen leaves under the tree to protect the big tree, which is a unique tree species in the north of New Zealand. We chose a not very long trail, and at the end, we could see the skyscrapers in downtown Auckland.
