ATONEMENT: TO START THE YEAR

True enough to start the year 2023 is to spend a day of prayer at Baguio Cathedral under the patronage of the Lady of Atonement located adjacent to the Session Road in Baguio City. With this majestic Roman Catholic Church on top of the hill in the very heart of the city, the neo-romanesque architectural design of the church makes it popular tourist attraction and a landmark in the summer capital. It is also a 100-step stone staircase behind the Baguio Post Office building. As I spent my day of atonement, I start the year with sacrifices and reconciliation.
