Amandari, Bali's cultural core, is inspired by a traditional village and framed by jungle and rice terraces. Guests are cocooned under bamboo ceilings in alang-alang-thatched houses, some with pools and all with private tropical gardens. Their suites are elegantly decorated with teak and coconut wood.
Children attend dance classes here, and religious processions pass through on a daily basis, leading down the steps that flow below Amandari to a 7th-century stone tiger, a pattern repeated throughout the property. Guests can hike or ride the emerald-green countryside from the village, or travel further out to see artisan towns, hidden temples, and the palaces and boutiques of Ubud.
