The sunrise at Mount batur

Part of the 3 AM Club (not 5 AM! Haha) We hired a private tour guide for our early morning hike, which turned out to be quite easy—similar to the Peak or Twins in Hong Kong. A private driver picked us up at the hotel, and our guide welcomed us upon arrival, equipping us with professional lamps. Definitely worth it if you like to walk fast and avoid the crowds. At the summit, our guide quickly secured the best spot for watching the sunrise. While we waited, he provided breakfast and snapped plenty of photos for us. It was quite windy and cold up there, so be sure to wear warm clothes! #batur #ubud On the way back, we opted for the car instead of hiking down. I highly recommend skipping the bath and asking the driver to drop you off at Waring Babi Guling—my favorite meal of the entire trip!
