Lost Lindenberg in Bali: A Tranquil Hideaway

Is the Lost Lindenberg Hotel, located over two hours from Seminyak, far from any commercial areas and Bali's main tourist attractions, worth the trip? My answer is a resounding yes. Unless you knew about this place beforehand, as a tourist, you probably wouldn't go out of your way to stay at such a remote hotel. The hotel isn't large, with only eight rooms. However, the design elongates the flow, so exploring it takes some time. All rooms cantilever outwards from a central core, and all eight rooms are of the same type. Surrounded by jungle, some rooms offer glimpses of the beach through the trees. Because of the surrounding jungle, the hotel is filled with the sounds of insects and birds, which is very therapeutic. The pool, though near the beach, is intentionally hidden by trees. You can hear the waves but not see the ocean. While the beach is public, there are no other visitors, only hotel guests. Being on the sand evokes a sense of solitude and freedom, making it feel more private than many so-called private beaches. The hotel offers an entirely vegetarian menu, which adds to the healing atmosphere, and the prices are quite reasonable compared to typical resort hotels. Activities such as surfing lessons and yoga classes are also available. The overall experience, combined with the hotel's design and operation, offers excellent value.
