First time surfing at Kuta Beach

#cityplaybook Bali is famous not only for snorkelling and diving but also for surfing. And I took my chance to make my first ever surfing experience. There were hundreds of vendors along the coastlines that rent surfing boards or provide surfing training. Prices range from 150k to 300k depending on what’s included in the package. I opted for one that included free photos, which was 250k for two hours. But honestly, don’t expect much on the quality of photo, so just go with any coaches that feel promising to you. Before the class, I read about the theoretical knowledge and precautions so I could get into the practical faster on the day. On the day itself, waves were stronger than usual, but I still managed to have a good time! But a hindsight was that at this particular beach, it was said that evening is a better chance for surfing coz the waves would be more moderate. So do ask if you’re not too comfortable with waves. I’m certainly going for more surfing the next time I make it to just any beach with the surfing opportunities!
