BANAUE HOTEL: MY HANG OUT TO CONQUER BATAD

#celebratewithtrip One of my most memorable trips is Banaue, Ifugao where you can find the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Batad Rice Terraces and Bangaan Rice Terraces. It is 8-9 hrs travel via NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX taking Pura Exit to Dalton Pass and drive straight to Bagabag then enter Ifugao to Banaue. I choose Banaue Hotel which is 1/2 km before the town center. It is a government hotel which gives the indigenous feeling and ambiance of the place. Buffet breakfast is excellent with the like of champurado and dried fish. It has swimming pool but the cold weather prevents me to dip in. But of course, I need to see BATAD. It is a 19 mins drive by car but I need to walk to Batad. I hired a guide to take the best trails and to tell about the history and custom of the locals. It was a difficult trekking and I did not finish because I was not too ready.
