Lampuuk Beach

Crystal clear water,mountain forms lagoon-shape with safer, smaller waves on south- west side, broken by a coral reef. There are occasionally strong currents. Over by the mountain it's more dangerous to swim. Soft white sand. Beautiful beach with white sands, mild waves, and a view on the hills of Meulaboh, just a stone's throw from the Banda Aceh city center. If this beach would have been in Java or Bali, it would have been teeming with tourists and hawkers, but this beach was relatively quiet with only a handful of locals footbathing and lounging in the sand with their children. There were some warungs selling cigarettes, snacks, and drinks, but no hawkers walking around. Lovely, lovely place. #urbanexplorer #happylaborday #maydaytrip #uniquelodging
