Make sure you bring your umbrella + hat (Asian style) during the summer because it will be extremely hot and it hard to find a shaded area. All the famous sightsing place in the main city such as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen, and the Temple of Heaven can be easy to reach since they are near the train station. Please buy the ticket online in advance for these because sometime, tickets are sold out early in the morning. Within the main city, there is some night market, check those out too since it is near the exit of the train. For another farther place like Summer Palace or the Great Wall, you should book a day trip from klook because those a far away from the main city. To me the food is ok, I'm not too into spice and oil food, you must try Beijing Duck those. It is worth to visit Bejing one in your life time.
