National Museum of China

#chinatrip It's free to enter but you have to book a slot in advance as they control the number of visitors per time slot. This is a huge museum and after visiting, I can understand why there are so many locals, because there's really alot to see, even in the permanent exhibits halls that it's impossible to finish in a day if you are going to view them in detail. An extremely popular museum and you need to book a ticket before entering. For anything popular in Beijing I would book at least a week in advance. We found places were booked out 3 days in advance even during quieter times.
