Explore Beijing's Hutongs with a Local | Xiaoheihu Hutong, near the Drum Tower

📍Xiaoheihu Hutong, also known as Heihu Hutong or Heihuer Hutong, is located in Xicheng District, Beijing, on the west side of Old Drum Tower Street. It was divided into Daheihu Hutong and Xiaoheihu Hutong after 1911. 👍In 2022, it was included in the first batch of the list of traditional place names in the core functional area of the capital (streets and alleys). 🌈No. 24 and No. 26 Xiaoheihu Hutong were once the site of the Jinlu Shengmu Zhuzhong Niangniang Temple. The construction date of this temple is unknown, but it is certain that it was once the Zhenwu Temple in the Ming Dynasty and was renamed Zhuzhong Niangniang Temple in the Qing Dynasty. Although the remains of the Zhuzhong Niangniang Temple no longer exist, its story is still passed down by people, and the only thing left is a plaque preserved in the Big Bell Temple Museum. 📌It is very close to the Drum Tower and can be arranged together.
