I wore my cutest white blouse and red lips for the ultimate empress fantasy, and the contrast against those deep red walls and golden rooftops was chef’s kiss. This place is MASSIVE—like, “I need a snack halfway through” massive. Every courtyard is more stunning than the last, and the detail on the wooden doors and tiles? Literally art. I loved imagining the history behind it all—queens, emperors, palace drama… all of it! The vibe is so regal, but also calm and peaceful. Go early to avoid crowds, and bring a portable fan if it’s summer. I’d totally go again just to take more artsy mirror pics with those gorgeous ancient backdrops. Forbidden City = iconic, majestic, and totally unforgettable. It’s giving royal-core and I was absolutely here for it 👸✨📷.
