Guandu Nature Park is located at the junction of the Tamsui River and the Keelung River. It is a wetland terrain and has been restored into a beautiful place through the efforts of previous generations. The park is a bird-watching paradise, known as the last piece of pure land in northern Taiwan, and the place where the largest number of migratory birds gather in the north. In order to protect this wetland, the government planned the park into a conservation area, nature education area, landscape area and leisure area. The peak season for bird watching is from October to March every year. This is the place where the largest number of migratory birds from the north gather. Among the more than 400 species that can be seen on the island, more than 200 species have appeared here.
