Hidden Italian Gem

Absolutely enchanting! Bergamo truly stole my heart. Divided into two distinct halves, the modern Lower Town (Città Bassa) offers stylish shops and cafes, but it's the Upper Town (Città Alta) that's the real showstopper. Perched atop a hill and enclosed by Venetian walls, this medieval gem is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, stunning architecture, and breathtaking panoramic views. I loved wandering through Piazza Vecchia, admiring the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, and riding the funicular up to San Vigilio Castle. The food was incredible too – don't miss the local Casoncelli pasta! A perfect blend of history, beauty, and delicious cuisine. #cheaptravel #italy #travel
