The architecture is in Indian style, while the interior is in Asian style, with the Chinese style being dominant. The dragon, phoenix and bamboo shapes run through the entire interior design, and many pieces of furniture are a combination of Chinese and Western designs with bamboo details. The large Chinese-style figure paintings used for decoration were painted by a British painter, who had never been to China. He painted the stories of the characters he imagined based on the materials.
