There is a place that has recently become quite popular in Ilsan, with many people visiting since it opened. It is Shikasa. You can meet Shikasa before arriving at Pungsan-dong. ⠀ You can feel the unique atmosphere here from the exterior. Many people think of Kyoto, Japan, but I think I focused more on the comfort of a large cafe near Seoul than Kyoto. When we usually visit a large cafe near Seoul, we are surprised by the size, the variety of bakeries, and the bright atmosphere even after opening for less than an hour. These aspects often come across as advantages and charms of large cafes near Seoul. ⠀ But I think Shikasa is a little different. It has a coziness that is hard to find in other large cafes near Seoul. We sometimes express it as warm and cozy. If you pay attention to how many people describe Shikasa with a Kyoto sensibility, you might think that it feels like an extension of that warm and cozy sensibility. I think this feeling is the unique charm that only Shikasa has. ⠀ The interior is operated on the 1st and 2nd floors, and only the 2nd floor is a no-kids zone. Even on the 1st floor, the atmosphere of the left and right spaces centered around the coffee bar is clearly different. The space on the left has great lighting, and the space on the right feels like you are staying in a small accommodation alone in a place where no one is around, and it also gives off a comfortable stay feeling. ⠀ I think the atmosphere from the outdoor garden extends to the 1st and 2nd floors inside, which is the best connection and extension in a cafe. ⠀ Personally, I feel that the price range of the drinks is a little high, but it is a space that you will not regret visiting at least once. ⠀ ⠀ 📍Coffee beans ⠀ -I am using blend. ⠀ ⠀ 📍Coffee ⠀ I ordered Americano, and it had a slight sourness at the end, and overall, I could experience a rich and strong style of coffee. ⠀ The Cica Latte I ordered together was a signature menu, a cream latte, but it was quite sweet. ⠀ ⠀ 📍Music ⠀ Chicasa's music is colored by the Bossa Nova/Samba genre. There are two things that surprised me a little at Cicasa. One is that the space is prettier than I expected, and the other is that the music is filled with brighter music than I expected. ⠀ I think it's bright music because I visited in the morning, but the genre selection was attractive.
