📍 FISHERMAN’s BASTION It took approximately two decades to complete the neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque structure. In 1902, it was opened to the public. The bastion houses an equestrian statue of Stephen I, and the terrace includes seven towers that commemorate the seven Magyar tribes who formed Hungary. The Fisherman's Bastion offers one of the best panoramic views of the Hungarian Parliament, as well as the Danube River and Margaret Island.
