#Busan Cherry Blossom Spots 🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: Haedong Yonggungsa Temple during the cherry blossom season in Busan Formerly known as Pumen Temple, it was founded in 1376 by Master Lanweng, the royal teacher of King Gongmin of Goryeo. In 1974, the monk Jeongam changed its name to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, which is one of the three major Guanyin holy sites in South Korea. It is widely said that if believers pray sincerely, the Bodhisattva will grant their wishes. At the entrance of the temple there are 12 stone statues of the Chinese zodiac, a traffic safety prayer tower and 108 steps. There is a statue of Bodhidharma at the entrance of the stairs. According to legend, if you touch its nose or belly, you will have a son. Haidong Longgong Temple includes the Main Hall, Dragon King Hall, Cave Dharma Hall, Brahma Bell Pavilion and dormitories. In April, in addition to admiring the beautiful temples by the sea, the cherry blossoms on both sides of the road from getting off the bus to the temple parking lot are in full bloom, which is amazing.
