Summer is coming! It's such a waste to stay indoors during the holidays without enjoying the sunshine. Here are some of my favorite spots in Calgary: Inglewood Day Trip 📍Esker Foundation My favorite art gallery in Calgary! The exhibitions are always fascinating, and sometimes they host artist talks and workshops that you can join. 📍Weekend Market Occasionally, there’s a weekend market near Jack Long Lion Park. After visiting the art gallery, you can grab some snacks or goodies here! 📍Fair’s Fair Books If you love thrift shopping like me, this is a must-visit! It mainly sells second-hand books, but you can find all kinds of genres. The store thoughtfully provides chairs so you can take your time browsing. You can even bring your own books to sell! Chinatown Day Trip 📍Thi Thi Vietnamese Submarine Affordable and delicious Vietnamese sandwiches with generous portions that will definitely fill you up! There’s no indoor seating, but on nice days, you can buy one and enjoy it at a nearby park or by the river. If you haven’t tried Pineapple Fanta, you can get it here—it’s addictive after just one sip! 📍Good Thrift My favorite thrift clothing store! The owner has great taste, and you can sometimes find hidden gems. Plus, the prices are truly thrift-store prices! Part of the store’s earnings is reportedly donated to the community. They’re open until 7 PM on Saturdays, which is a bonus! 📍Rainbow Bakery I love their pork buns—they’re perfect for breakfast or as a snack. If you’re craving Asian-style bread, Chinatown is the place to go! 📍Crescent Hill The view of Chinatown from Centre Street Bridge is stunning! You can continue walking along the bridge to Crescent Hill for a panoramic view of the entire city. Calgary is truly beautiful when the weather is nice. Take your time exploring the city and discovering places you love! 🌼
