#Overseas Travel The Casa de Santa Maria was built in 1902 by architect Raul Lino. This mansion was the mansion of Jorge O'Neil, an aristocrat who ran a tobacco business in the late 19th century. He purchased some land across from the Santa Marta mansion and built the San Sebastião Tower, which is now the Condes de Castro Guimarães Museum. In 1917, Jorge O'Neil sold the mansion to the architect's brother, Jose Lino Jr., who decorated the house beautifully with azulejos, decorative tiles, and wood decorations from the 17th century. The wooden ceiling from the Frieras Chapel on the second floor is particularly famous for its beauty. The Baroque-style prayer space and the beautiful tile decorations here and there are worth going inside to see, and you can also go out to the terrace to enjoy the view.
