Sant Jeroni

Sant Jeroni is the highest peak in the Montserrat mountain range in Catalonia, Spain, at around 1,236 metres above sea level. It is a popular place for hiking and enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the Catalan region, including views towards Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea on clear days. There are several routes to the summit, one of the most popular is from the Montserrat Monastery via a well-maintained path. You can take the train from Barcelona to Montserrat, then take the funicular to the starting point of the hike. From the summit, you will see the unique rock formations typical of Montserrat and the incredible 360-degree views. Montserrat is also known as an important religious site with the Benedictine Monastery of Montserrat famous for housing the Black Madonna (La Moreneta).
